Mail-in rebates are the most well-known ones. The purchase of the product entitles the buyer to mail in a coupon or receipt and order to get a check for a specific amount. The amount depends on the products, time, and frequently place of purchase. This was also a good way for the manufacturers to promote the sales, by giving the money directly back to the customer.
